4 reasons to choose Hembex
Hembex combines experience of small businesses and large, professional services and products, local and international, management and finance. More importantly we know how to apply that experience to help others. Our two founders are a husband and wife team who have each had separate, highly successful careers in complementary fields.
We work with you to identify what you want to get out of your business and people then offer practical support to help you achieve it.
The chances are you already know where the issues are that need resolving. In your heart you may even know what needs to be done. Our job is to underpin that knowledge with an outside view from people who have experienced similar issues. Then we support you in making changes to achieve your goals.
It’s your business and the objectives are yours so most often our job is to help you turn things around for yourself. Once done we will gladly move on and leave you to it, confident that we have helped.
Paul Freathy built his career with well-established companies (WS Atkins, BT, Redland). He started a successful consulting business that ran for 9 years, then joined with others to form Anemos Associates. After 18 months, the business merged with Canadian firm RWDI - a specialist engineering consultancy with a worldwide client book and reputation. Paul was UK Managing Director and had responsibility for the UAE, India and China offices, and was also appointed to Group and subsidiary Boards.
Paul acted as Chair for the Board of Central Bedfordshire UTC Trust Limited and was previously a Governor of Central Bedfordshire College. Both were Non-Executive Director roles.
Lin Freathy has an outstanding finance background. She rose steadily through the ranks at BT, taking on many varied roles within the company including corporate support, system design, business analyst and financial controller. A feature of many of these roles was the need to turn problems around and move the business forward. Lin ultimately reached the position of VP Finance for the Global Customer Support Organisation of BT’s Global Services Division - where she was responsible for a P&L of more than £200 million.
Lin is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
